I am a PhD candidate in economics at Columbia University. My research interests lie at the intersection of labor, health, and public economics, with a focus on policies affecting the wellbeing of low-income and otherwise vulnerable children. My work evaluates how childhood circumstances perpetuate economic inequality and how public policy can be used to promote the accumulation of human capital for children, with the goal of improving economic mobility. I am particularly interested in the child welfare system, and I am an affiliated researcher at the California Child Welfare Indicators Project. My graduate studies are supported by an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship.
Previously, I was pre-doctoral fellow at Opportunity Insights at Harvard University. I graduated with highest honors from Swarthmore College in 2018, where I majored in economics and minored in psychology and mathematics.
